Please join us to hear from David Zapatka. David is the Director of Photography for the nonprofit United States Lighthouse Society located in Hansville, Washington. His national night photography project, “USA Stars & Lights”, has brought him to 285 American lighthouses to document them working deep into the night. Ironically, in our national archives few lighthouses were ever photographed while at work during nighttime. Not until the advent of digital sensors with great dynamic range had such imagery been possible.
