• Welcome to Newport PhotoGuild •

The Photographers' Guild of the Newport Art Museum (aka the Newport PhotoGuild), an affiliate of the Newport Art Museum, Newport RI, is a non-profit organization of local individuals with a common interest in photography:

• The photographic heritage and history.
• Individual photography ranging from family photos to fine art.
• The technology of photography: film, digital, and printing.
• A focus on the rich and diverse subject matter in our region.
• Gallery showings and display.

We warmly welcome everyone who shares these interests and we are enriched by every individual and their experience. With a new and exciting schedule of programs for this season, we have something for everyone. Our membership, (over 100 strong!) is diverse, fun, and interesting. Please join us!

Upcoming Program

• January 18: Members' critique. Members' night where we view three images by members who are interested in showing. Local, internationally known photographer Michael Eudenbach (who gave an extremely well received presentation at our November meeting) will critique your images giving helpful, gentle and constructive comments. More information to follow.

Most Programs are presented in the Ilgenfritz Gallery in Griswold House, Newport Art Museum, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM.

Programs are free and open to the public.

To be a member of the PhotoGuild you must be a member of the Newport Art Museum. Stop by the Museum at 76 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI (401-848-8200) or fill out their online form and check "Photographer's Guild Dues" at the bottom:

An individual membership with the Museum is $50.00 and the PhotoGuild membership is an additional $25.00.
