Newport PhotoGuild member gallery of award-winning images (and other worthy accomplishments!).

This image, titled "Fire," by Jim Hagen won the top juror’s award at the Bristol Art Show "Fire."

Marc Jaffe received Honorable Mention for his photograph, "Lone Cyprus", at the South County Art Association Open Juried Art Annual.

Sylvia Hampton received an Honorable Mention in Portsmouth Arts Guild "Imagine Red" show for this image.

Flamingo Study by Bonnie Jaffe received the Simonds Photographic Award in the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts 99th Annual Exhibition at the Mystic Arts Center, May 28-July 17, 2010.

Federico (Rico) Santi in the Russell Rotunda of the Dirkson Senate Office Building in Washington, DC in front of some of the 34 photographs exhibited there during the week of May 10, 2010, in celebration of the 45th anniversary of VISTA – Volunteers in Service to America. The exhibit along with a reception on May 12th honored members of Congress for their commitment to VISTA. The photo exhibit was first shown in Newport at The Newport Art Museum last fall: "VISTA Redux: 1969", youth, idealism, poverty and hope are all evident in the photographs documenting VISTA alumnus Federico Santi’s service in South Florida in the late 1960’s. The exhibit recalls the volunteers, migrant laborers and their families, and the struggles and hopes they shared forty years ago.

Kudos to Rico for being part of this great exhibition!
