Workshops and Classes
2011 PhotoGuild Open Field Trips
PhotoGuild Field Trips are held in July and August on Wednesday
evenings, rain or shine. Leader chooses location and
meal arrangement. The field trips are open to members and friends at
no charge (except where noted).
FORMAT: Field trips take place on Wednesday evenings. Rain dates will be provided if needed. Participants will meet at a specified time and location. For trips that require driving to the location, we will plan to carpool. Typical meeting times are 5:00 and depending on the location and the nature of the shoot - i.e. are we going to a great sunset location, are we going to a location where early evening light is better, etc., the leader will suggest a schedule for the evening.
TYPICAL EVENING SCHEDULE: Generally an evening meal is part of the experience and not only provides nourishment, but also provides a chance for the participants to share photography ideas. The leader of each trip will determine the schedule, i.e. eat first or photograph first.
EQUIPMENT: Where appropriate, the leader will make suggestions as to the type of photo gear, lenses, tri-pod, etc. that would be most useful for that particular trip.
You can view photos from this and past season field trips
from the
Member Gallery page.
